Following a subsequent Ofsted inspection on 23rd January 2024, Little Runners MET THE requirements of Ofsted.
Out of school and holiday club settings are inspected differently to schools and the gradings are no longer the same.
Inspectors now only judge out of school settings on the ‘Overall effectiveness: quality and standards of the early years provision’. This is because these settings do not need to meet the learning and development requirements of the EYFS.
There are 3 possible outcomes:
- Met – the provider is meeting requirements
- Not met with actions – if the provider is not meeting EYFS requirements but can fix this quickly, the inspector will tell them what to do to improve

” Children are excited to come to the club. They are collected from classes by a warm and friendly staff team.”
“Staff know children well, due to the effective partnership working with school staff. The strong relationships with key club staff show children are happy, confident, and emotionally secure in their care.”
“The club is extremely well organised.”
“Staff follow children’s interests and listen to their feedback. Children say they enjoy coming to the club as they get to engage in a range of activities but also have the freedom to choose what they would like to do.”
